Elisa is the founder of Growing Roots Forest School.
She ran wonderfully nourishing forest school camps and groups in Sutton for many years and helped many children have memorable experiences in the forest.
We are so grateful to her for forging this path and bringing children together in nature in this beautiful place and we wish her all the very best with her next chapter!

I am a forest school leader, a mam, and a primary school teacher. I've been working with children since 2005 in a wide range of settings.
I'm excited to be leading Forest School sessions at Growing Roots and I look forward to many adventures to come in the woods at Red Rock.
I am fully insured and garda vetted a and have current First Aid certification.

I joined the team in September 2022 as a volunteer and love my weekly visits to the forest spending time with the children. Nature is our teacher and together we’re learning about all the biodiversity in this beautiful place. It never ceases to amaze me how happy the children are in the outdoors and their fascination with nature and wildlife. My time with Growing Roots is a perfect match to the studies I’m doing at the moment - a Masters in Outdoor Environmental Education.

I began working with Growing Roots as a volunteer in May 2022 and now work part-time as an assistant. I am currently studying Education Studies at Marino Institute of Education and I feel that my learning alongside Elisa, Briana and the children at Growing Roots is giving me a unique perspective and positive lived experience that is aidin
I began working with Growing Roots as a volunteer in May 2022 and now work part-time as an assistant. I am currently studying Education Studies at Marino Institute of Education and I feel that my learning alongside Elisa, Briana and the children at Growing Roots is giving me a unique perspective and positive lived experience that is aiding my studies.
I have previously worked as a childminder and some of my favourite topics to study include alternative education, play-centred curriculum, and psychology.
I have a great fascination with nature, especially Ireland’s native animals and plants. I hope to introduce this to the children in a way that is fun and that will encourage a sense of pride and respect for our local environment. My hobbies include crafting, music, and outdoor adventures!
I love working with the children and always do my very best to ensure that everyone feels welcome and cared for in the forest. I am fully insured and Garda vetted for this role and have also completed the TUSLA Child Safeguarding course.
